Katie Ollis spent her childhood between her home near Stratford upon Avon and school in Worcester before heading for Newcastle Polytechnic. An abiding fascination for the visual arts led her in a roundabout way to an early career in marketing before her three children started to appear from 2001 demanding a change in direction. She retrained to embark on her photography career, initially manifesting in her collaboration Jam & Ink and now under her own name.

Apart from her personal projects, Katie is especially interested in portraiture and in particular her latest Pet Duets or Furry Friends venture, capturing that special chemistry between owners and their pets - looking to elevate them photographically to their position as true members of the 'human' family.
